Mobile Website of the Week: Windmill Animal Hospital

By Stephen Alemar

We all love our furry friends, but if they get sick, who you gonna call? Windmill Animal Hospital, because they have a Click-To-Call button. Sorry Ghostbusters, and congrats to this week’s Mobile Website of the Week winners. Let’s discuss your site.

We like it because: Sometimes something simple is all you need. The logo is prominently displayed with a short, to the point statement about what the company does, “Best Pet Care Anywhere!” It even rhymes.

Mobile friendly features they’re using: As we mentioned in the opening paragraph, the Click-To-Call button is there, as well as Mobile Maps. However, you’ll notice the top button in the navigation actually says “Text Us.” You don’t see that everyday.

Quick Thoughts: Having a mobile website for an animal hospital is a great idea, and it’s pretty easy to see why. What if your playing fetch in the park, and Fido sprains his ankle. Just like with a hospital for people, you’ll want to find medical help right away. Unfortunately, as far as we know, there is no 911 for cats and dogs. So, what’s the next best thing? A mobile friendly website with Click-To-Call and easy to understand directions with just the push of a button.
